Mothers Day - What a Day!

This day is special for all mothers and I had nothing so special planned but to have a day out with the whole family. I was teasing my brother that he will treat us for lunch so my mother will not need to cook lunch and he willingly obliged.

TIME: 10am

My brother gave us the money to purchase lechon manok and ice cream. I told my mother if we can go to NCCC uyanguren first to see if they are selling a certain textile that I am looking for. I needed something to cover the dashboard of my car because the heat of the sun would bounce directly to my face every time I would drive the car on a hot day. I ended up buying 2 dew foam pillows coz they did not have what I was looking for. As I was paying the cashier, a guard approached the cashier and they were talking about a fire nearby. I asked them where the fire was. They said it was in the Lizada entrance. What???!! My car is parked there. My mother and I rushed down and out of the store for fear that it might be a big fire. Fortunately it was just a minor fire.

So we headed to Bo. Obrero to buy lechon manok from Nochies before we headed for Victoria Plaza to buy ice cream.

TIME: 11am

We arrived at Victoria Plaza. I told my mother that we try to inquire about the textile at the textile department of the Mall first before we proceed to the grocery to buy the ice cream. Still no textile for my dashboard, but we have the ice cream.

TIME: 12nn

We are at the carpark. I turned on my engine, pressed the hazard button and started backing. As I was changing to first gear to move forward, I heard a bump. What the!!!! A car bumped me! I did not see a car backing while I was backing. Where did he come from??? My mother immediately jumped off the car and the driver of the honda CRV that bumped us did not even bother to get down his car. My mother knocked hard on his window to let him get off the car. Mr. Rodolfo D. Caresma got off and he started acting arrogantly. He started blurting out things that he was Vice president of BPI (so?!). That he knew people from TMC. Darn! he even mention.. "wala na kase si Popo" (referring to Mr. Celso "Popo" Gempesaw who died of a heart attack last week). In my mind I was thinking what the hell does a dead man have to do with this?! Then he started calling people on his cellphone.

He even called the mall owner. What??? Is the mall owner responsible for what he did? The security guards came and they got my drivers license and asked for his license. It took him quite some time to show his license. As the guard was holding his license and copying his details, I took at peek at his license and it turned out to be an expired drivers license!!!! It expired last February 2009. He is driving with an expired license!!! After more than 30 minutes, the police (PO2 Lantajo) from the traffic department came and got our certificate of registration and drivers license. Then we were instructed to proceed to the Sta. Ana Police station.

When I arrived at the police station with my brother, I informed PO2 Lantajo that Mr. Rodolfo D. Caresma was driving with an expired license. I hope he takes note of that in his report. The damage was not really that big (my car got a dent on the drivers side while his car had no trace of damage at all coz it was his spare tire hard casing that bumped into my car) and I also have my own car Insurance. It's just that this guy really got into my nerves!! Perhaps he was thinking he can scare me off with his connections??? Well he is absolutely wrong! We should follow proper procedures and he is not going to get away with it.

What irritated me more was he kept bragging about his position with Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI). Such a stupid thing to do! He happens to be talking to one of their bank clients and I'm so pissed off I'm thinking of closing my bank account from their bank. Yeah he has a very high position with BPI and he should have known better how to act like a respectable professional!

here are the pictures

TIME: 2:30PM

We fetched my sister's family from their house and proceeded to SM. We strolled around, bought a few stuffs and ate snacks at pizza hut. After eating our snacks, went up to worlds of fun. My nephew was so excited coz we agreed that everybody will ride the bump car, except for my father who was playing bingo at the bingo hall. It was the first time of my sister, mother and bro in law to ride a bump car. hehehe.. They were asking me several questions - how does it move forward? do we step on something to make it run? hahaha! Of the 9 bumpcars.. only 4 were functioning. Good enough for the 4 rides that we took.

TIME: 6:30PM

We went down to Antonio's Grill to have dinner. Unfortunately, the place is full. So we decided to just go for Bigby's. We ordered baby back ribs and fishermans catch. Our orders came and we were quite surprised with the appearance of the baby back ribs.. Hmmm it looked fatty.. errr... As we sliced it, it was kinda hard.. and there was more fat inside.. it did not taste that good though. This was our first time to eat at Bigby's SM, but we have already tried eating several times at Bigby's torres. We even joked maybe it was a grandmother backribs that they used since we are celebrating mothers day today. While we paid our bill, we informed the owner (she was not in uniform but she helped in serving and giving out the bill coz the place was so busy) about the backribs and she just said "ah ok we will just tell them" tell who? the commissary? hmmm.. their baby backribs is definitely not at par with the baby back ribs of Rancheros grill.

Well this day is one unforgettable day for the bad and good things that happened. A piece of advice to all drivers out there. Do not be fooled by these people who would want to scare you off when you get into a vehicular accident like what happened to me. Call the proper authorities and have it documented properly. As I was talking to PO2 Lantajo earlier, he mentioned there have been several incidents of car owners not being able to claim the damages from the person responsible for the damage since they did not course it through the TMG. Also, do not just accept any calling cards or whatsoever from these people while they tell you to just contact them. Mr. Rodolfo D. Caresma did give me a calling card but I verified from a friend who was also working for BPI. Yes he is from BPI. Read full post...

A Year Older and A Year Wiser on Easter Sunday

This year as I celebrate Easter Sunday, I have lots of things to celebrate for. First it's a celebration for the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. Aside from celebrating Easter, I'm also celebrating my nth birthday...

I'm just glad my birthday fell on Easter and not holy thursday, good friday or black saturday this year. I am so used to having my birthday fall on those dates and it is just so difficult to celebrate your birthday when everyone else is going to Church to contemplate on the death of Christ.

To celebrate my birthday and easter, our family went to Mergrande Beach resort. I was eyeing a resort in Samal but when I contacted them a week ago, the resort was already fully booked. Nevertheless, we still had fun!

The resort was jam packed with beach goers, tide was high, they had an easter egg hunt (my nephew was so excited to join - it is actually his first time to join an easter egg hunt event), there were also ENT specialists who were doing free check-ups. I had my ears checked since I have been somewhat noticing a ringing in my ears every now and then. I suspected impacted earwax, but the doctor who examined me said my ears were perfectly fine. So he suggested I undergo a hearing test. Toinks! I'm deaf? wahhhhh!!! After having our ears examined, we were given free ice cream! weeeeeeeeeee!!! Of course my nephew also had his ear checked just to get his free ice cream too.. hehehehe..

There is nothing much that I can wish for today on my birthday. Perhaps just a sincere person who can make my heart beat with love (as what Nong Fred texted me.. hahaha!) soon?. Aside from that I have nothing more to wish for but just for the safety and good health of my family. I have been so blessed that I just thank the Lord for all the good things He has given to me and my family.

I am super happy I was the one who drove my car home all the way from Mergrande Resort. Weeeeeee.... I am no longer scared and I feel I am getting better ;)

Acai Berry Virus Message in Yahoo Messenger

I did not suspect it was a virus when I first received this kind of message last week. I just wondered why the person who sent the message suddenly kept sending this message about Acai Berry. I know Acai Berry was a fruit claimed to benefit those who want to lose weight since I always kept getting spam emails that had Acai Berry in the subject.

The first thing that came into my mind was maybe this person who sent the message is into affiliate marketing and she is trying to promote this website. I was just lucky coz I did not click on the link. Early this morning, as I signed in my yahoo messenger, I got the same message and it was in the same pattern. The first thing that the person sending the message will do is buzz you then give you a message:

I have been taking Acai Berry now for two months and already lost 34 pounds, it is the same stuff that was on the Oprah show, Mark and Kat lost so much weight too with no diet or excersise. Get it now, its only five bucks a bottle, we are living proof that it works like magic. Get it over at URL here (I eliminated the url coz you guys might also get the virus if you click on it.)

I replied to the person who sent this message and ask her if it's a virus, unfortunately she has not replied to my message... but I have a very strong feeling this is a virus. So for all of you who use yahoo messenger.. be cautious and do not just click and click on any link even if it is your friend who sent that message.

Lion by William Jan Smith

My nephew has been memorizing this poem for their graduation day on March. He actually got 10 stars for being able to memorize the whole poem ahead of his classmates this week.

I made him recite his poem while recording it with the webcam of my laptop. Of course we had to bribe him that we will be feeding his Oinky (the name he gave his piggy bank) if he recites the poem titled "Lion" by William Jan Smith.

National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) Requiring Bloggers to Obtain a License Soon?

Have you heard the news? It was published in the Technews Section of Manila Bulletin last Jan 26, 2009. If things will push through, several bloggers and people getting their income from blogs, as well as people working for clients who have blogs (just like me) will need to get a license just to blog!

Of course everyone working for Outsourcing companies will sure be affected, from the web developers, programmers, link builders, writers, and virtual assistants. What is the Philippine government trying to do? Instead of helping Filipinos become productive by keeping their jobs and earning through pay per posts in blogs, they are instead pulling the Filipino people down.

I don't know how you guys might react to this news but I am definitely against it. Maybe the government should think not just twice.. thrice.. but several times! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this will not be approved.

Looking Back at the Year That Was

It’s 2009 yahoo! Well I have a lot of things to be happy and thankful for. 2008 has been really wonderful as a whole, although I could not say the whole year was, but if I were to look at the blessings that I have received towards the end of the year, I can say they totally surmounted all the not so good things that had happened during the first and second quarter of the year.

Last year, I resigned from my job at Eversun Software Philippines Corporation a.k.a Agents of Value (AOV). Although the pay is fine, I had to make the decision to quit the job mainly because I am no longer happy with it. Not that I am not happy with my job, but not happy with the environment – the lousy admins (who were all after the positions that they were holding), some officemates who would do anything to discredit people (the crab mentality that Filipinos have). Don’t get me wrong. I do have several good sincere friends in the office.

It is just a pity that such a good business and a good owner (Danny Sullivan) had to suffer because the admins are not looking after the welfare of the employees but more on protecting themselves.

After resigning from Eversun Software Corporation a.k.a. AOV, my days have been peaceful, and definitely blessings have not stopped pouring in.

I am just so thankful that God had been so good to me and my family. My brother Mark and his wife Glenda finally got their immigration for Australia approved and Glenda is now pregnant with their very first baby! My other brother Michael is also leaving for Dubai by January, and of course I am definitely living a much more comfortable life financially. I am just overwhelmed with all the blessings that God has poured upon us that it makes me realize God never ceases to reward those who do not maltreat their fellowmen.

PS: For a full detailed post of this blog, contact the blog owner. I am posting the entire story in a different URL so people may know and those creating malicious rumors will be discredited for all the false information they have been spreading.

Letter for Santa Claus

Two weeks ago, I encouraged my nephew to write a letter to Santa Claus. His very first time to write one, since he now knows how to write well and spell correctly. I was surprised to see two letters which he inserted in the leaves of our Christmas tree at home. A very simple wish. To get a toy car and bakugans (boys his age are going crazy over bakugans). I captured a picture of his letter to Santa and I'm sharing it here.

Last Sunday, my nephew was rushed to the hospital because of difficulty in breathing. He has asthma and my sister has been nebulizing him at home but perhaps his lungs can no longer handle it. He was diagnosed with bronchopneumonia on both lungs. As of today, December 23, 2008, the doctor cannot assure us that my nephew will be discharged from the hospital. Oh boy! This means we will be spending Christmas at the hospital? :(

As a kid I have always believed in Santa Claus. We would hang socks on the eve of Christmas and wake up to seeing our socks filled with presents.

Now that I am all grown up, I no longer practice hanging those socks nor waiting for Santa to come over and give me some gifts. But this year, I have the urge to ask Santa a favor for my nephew. Please pray for my nephew that he gets well really soon. It's Christmas and I would have really loved it if the family could spend it outside of the hospital.

Christ the King Fiesta at Tagum City

The third sunday of the month of November is the Feast of Christ the King and it is that time of the year when people flock to Tagum City to celebrate the feast of Christ the King.

Last sunday, we were invited by my good friend Sharon to their house in Tagum City. Good thing my mother and father tagged along. It was an hour drive from Davao City. Much faster compared to taking a bus - it stops and picks up passengers often, making the trip last for about an hour and 30 mins or more.

Anyhow, we arrived at the city at around past 11am. Too early for lunch huh? Well my brother had to reformat the PC of Sharon so we were pretty much right on time. We were the early birds and first visitors to arrive. But I am not a visitor to that house anymore.. LOL! Stayed there for 2 years when Sha and I used to have a business in Tagum.

After lunch, my father wanted to roam around the city, so we left my brother who was still installing softwares. We went to the the new Christ the King Church in Sobrecary St. This is my first time to visit the place. We used to just attend mass at the old church while I stayed there. (Sharons mother in law was the choir conductor of the old church).

I was amazed at how big the structure was. I already know it was big but haven't really seen it. Below are some of the picts that I have taken. (click on the pic for a larger view)

Front View

12 years in the making

Several houses in the city had their own little parties, so a lot of pigs were massacred that day! lol! I caught one guy roasting a pig at the back of the church compound.

Another thing that I noticed in Tagum was the color of their tricycles. All their tricycles are colored green! It was something new that Mayor Rey Uy implemented for uniformity.

Google's PR Update

Wow I have been very busy that I just do not have time to update my blog that much. A friend of mine sent me an instant message thru yahoo messenger over the weekend and informed me about google's PR update. Out of curiosity I visited my blog and found out it went from a PR 2 to a PR 0. WAaaaahhhhhh!!!

Wondering what happened to my PR.... After reading some forums I read some people saying their PR went up and their sites were relatively new. Seems like google is up to something new. Hmmm... that is for Internet marketers and SEO experts to find out! Lol!

Why Laarni Lozada Won as The Grand Star Dreamer of Pinoy Dream Academy Season 2

A note from the blog owner: The amount of traffic going to this blog post has been unexpectedly so overwhelming from supporters of Laarni. Thank you for appreciating this blog post. I am not a fan of Laarni or anybody from PDA Season 2. Just a viewer who got hooked watching the show and giving her opinion on what happened. To all the fans of Laarni, if I made you happy with what I have posted, thank you for the appreciation. In my interest to protect my blog post, it would be very much appreciated that only excerpts of my post be posted to whatever fan sites you guys have built for Laarni and not the whole blog post that I have written. You may give the link to my blog so your friends can also read it. Thank you very much guys..

I am one of the many viewers who consistently watch ABS-CBN's primetime shows and I also got hooked watching Pinoy Dream Academy. At the start of the competition, I thought it was Liezel who was going to be the runaway winner because she really had this unique voice and she proved it by becoming a consistent top scholar, but as the weeks passed, Laarni Lozada proved to be one of her strong contenders along with Bugoy.

Some viewers are asking.. why did Laarni win the competition? Did the Filipino audience pity her because of her frequent crying as seen on primetime?

Here is my analysis of what happened. During those times when I would miss out some primetime shows on TV, I see to it that I watch it thru youtube. I know of somebody who religiously uploads these shows for those who are not able to watch it thru TV. One day, while I was watching an episode of Pinoy Dream Academy thru youtube, I read the comments below the video (which I normally do while waiting for the video to buffer). One comment caught my attention. Somebody kept promoting a youtube account for fans of Laarni.

Out of curiosity, I viewed this you tube account. To my surprise, there were so many videos in that account and it all contains stuffs about Laarni and some videos from live stream. Whoaaa! Live stream! Yes indeed… you need not pay ABS CBN to view live streaming coz somebody is uploading it here for free!

What is more surprising is that Filipinos working abroad are donating E-pins (the ones you use to vote a scholar you want), and cellphone loads to be used for voting Laarni. I really got curious as to why they liked Laarni so I tried to read some of the things that they are discussing and it was there when I discovered that some things which they have seen in live streaming were not aired in primetime TV and this really made them upset, seeing there was a bias against Laarni.

One video that I saw was how Liezel walked out while washing the dishes. She was calling Laarni to get the “basahan” in the sink so she could wash the dishes. Then Laarni came and got the “basahan” but placed it just in front of the sink, which made Liezel upset and walk out, uttering “Ayaw ko na mag hugas!”.

For me that was so uncalled for. The “basahan” is just a piece of cloth that she could have easily removed it herself rather than tell Laarni to get it just because she was the one who placed it there. If each and everyone of us would exhibit that attitude, then I don’t know what will happen. The sad thing is, this was never shown in prime time. For the fans of Laarni, this was unfair. According to them, when Laarni does something wrong, it is immediately shown on TV to make her look bad. Hmmm… yeah indeed I would have to agree. Her bad attitude was really always highlighted during primetime telecast.

During their Final Performance Night, Mr. Ryan Cayabyab, their Head Master, made a mistake by making a bad comment on Laarni’s performance that night. He said “you made a mistake, actually you had several mistakes.. but you were able to carry through”. This caught the ire of Laarni’s fans, making them put in more votes for her. All the other scholars made mistakes during their performances and had flat notes but they were never given bad comments.

I monitored the fans of Laarni during the final hours before the voting was closed and I was really shocked at how they panicked that the e-pins they purchased were not yet sent to them, and they were looking for people to trust to help them in voting. I also learned there was a limit of 30 votes per email address in one day. Somebody even created hundreds of email addresses to be used for voting. Gosh! These OFW’s are spending a lot of money all because they want to prove to ABS-CBN that they did the wrong thing in hurting Laarni.

True enough, their efforts paid off because Laarni Lozada won as the Grand Star Dreamer, with Bugoy winning second, Miguel 3rd, Liezel 4th, Van 5th, and Chris 6th. One more thing, the fans of Laarni were saying prayers for her to win the Grand Prize. Just proves how team work and prayers can do miracles. I just hope Laarni will recognize how those people helped her achieve her dream and that she won’t let her popularity get into her head.

Melon at 120php/Kilo - Whatta Fruit!

Do you love fruits? What was do you think is the most expensive fruit that you have eaten? Grapes? Peaches? hmm.. lemme think...

Last Monday, I got a call from my mother telling me my father wanted to buy Melon fruit. Hmmm.. so why is she calling me? Here's the catch.. she is calling me coz my father wants me to buy it for him. Wahhhh.. so ok.. how much is it? My mother told me it's P120/kl.. and I was like.. "whhhaaattttttt???!!!" Melon for 120/kl? Are you kidding me? It took long before I could reply on the phone. hahahaha! Made me really think.. how many kilos is 1 melon? My mother said it's more than 2 kls. WOW!!!! That's P240+ for a Melon fruit... hmmmm is it worth it to spend for that? Well if you want to know what fruit I'm talking about, take a look at the picture below. I really took a pic of this very expensive fruit.

My mother told me that father just really got so curious how this fruit tasted coz they said it's very sweet. Oh well.. do I have a choice? hahaha! Anyway, to satisfy their curiosity, I said "Yes" and they bought the Melon. So how did it taste? Well just like the ordinary Melon.. but just much sweeter. You can actually eat it without putting milk and sugar, you can just bite it and enjoy the fruit.

There is nothing really fancy about this fruit. Trust me it will be the first and last time I will buy this fruit. Not worth it.. hehehe

Family Dinner at Roadhouse - My Treat

I know this is kinda late. Well I have been so busy lately that I have not got that much time to post to this blog. I do hope I'll be able to really update this regularly. Well anyway, last August 31, 2008, a Sunday, I treated my family to a dinner out. The original plan was to treat them at Yellow Cab pizza but some of them reacted since they have already tried Yellow Cab Pizza and it was only my brother Mark who has not tried it yet. Poor Mark... better luck next time.. hehehe...

So I asked them where they want to have the dinner treat, and Mark suggested why don't we try out Roadhouse at SM City. Hmmm.. why not? Haven't tried eating there. My nephew was excited upon learning that we would be going to SM. Not because we were going to eat at Roadhouse, but because he wanted to play at World's of Fun.

Anyway, we arrived at around 6pm, good thing coz we were able to immediately get a table good for 9. While we were having our dinner, we saw some customers waiting to have a table available for them.

We had 2 orders of baby back ribs, 2 orders of sinigang na bangus, 2 orders of sizzling squid, kinilaw, shanghai rice, and crispy pata. We have to order crispy pata since it is the only viand that my nephew wants, he is very picky of the food that he eats.

The service was excellent and the food was superb, except for the kinilaw. Me and my brother Mark did not like the taste of it. The price of the food.. hmm quite expensive.. lol! Let's just say I spent more than 2k for that dinner, and I already had it discounted coz my father has a senior citizen ID. Just wondering why they only placed the discount to 1 order of baby back ribs and the kinilaw. Hmm.. my father also had a can of coke.

If you'll ask me if I'll go back to that place? Well yeah.. I saw some yummy food in the pictures hanged outside and I want to try those the next time, especially the bulalo. hmm yummy!

How I Spent This Year's 23rd Kadayawan Festival

It is the month of August and it is the time when Davao City celebrates its Kadayawan Festival. This year's Kadayawan Festival is surely a memorable one for me. I was really super busy going out with family, friends and guests.

It is the month of August and it is the time when Davao City celebrates its Kadayawan Festival. This year's Kadayawan Festival is surely a memorable one for me. I was really super busy going out with family, friends and guests.

August 22, 2008 - Was declared a local non-working holiday to give Davaowenyos time to celebrate the Kadayawan Festival. My family and I went to SM at around 2pm. We did a little shopping and left at around 3:30pm. By 4pm we were at Crocodile Park. We arrived just on time coz the show started at 4:30pm. We saw and even had a chance to touch some rare animals like the Palawan Bear Cat, Seawater crocodile, albino python, eagle. We also saw an encounter with a real huge crocodile named "pangil" where the caretakers tried to provoke the crocodile and some of the people viewing got wet when Pangil slammed his tail on the water as a reaction to the provocation. We also saw the caretakers feed the little crocodiles, and finally there was a tightrope exhibition. Below is the video which I have taken from my cellphone camera. I will be creating a slideshow later on of the pictures that we took from the camera of my sis.

From Crocodile Park, we proceeded to Rancheros and had a sumptuous dinner there. My nephew found the umbrella in my Mango shake very cute that he played with it and posed for the camera as he went around the table posing with every one while holding the umbrella up on our heads.

While we were eating, we noticed a group of people taking videos and pictures of the people dining in the place, including our table. Then I saw this bald guy who looked very familiar. I called the attention of my sister and asked if she knows who that guy was coz he really looked very familiar. All that she could recall was this guy had a travel show on TV. Then we overheard from the table beside us that his name is Joel Mendez. Ahh! the dermatologist Dr Joel Mendez! After dinner, we headed home and took a rest coz the following day will be another busy day coz the Aunt of my friend Angie and a friend of hers was coming over for a vacation.

August 23, 2008

I met up with Angie and her visitors from Iloilo. Good thing the friend of her tita has a friend here in Davao, and we were able to get a free ride. Our first stop was lunch at Penongs at times Beach, then we proceeded to baywalk where they had a chance to view the naked statue. After which, we proceeded to SM city. We went inside the mall first coz it was really scorching hot. After a strolling around, we went outside to view the Agro Industrial Trade Fair which was just in the parking lot of SM. There we saw an exhibit of landscapes done by the well-known flower growers in the city. Below is a slide show of the pictures of the beautiful landscapes.

From SM, we headed back to Pepsi Cola Village in Dumoy, there we ate snacks and rested for a while. Afterwards, we headed to Shrine Hills and attended Mass at the Shrine, then we proceeded to Jack's Ridge for dinner. After dinner, we headed back home, but Angie and I decided to go out and go to Gmall to check out their midnight sale. We were able to get a few good bargained goods and headed home at past 11pm already.

August 24, 2008

I woke up late! Really very tired after all those strolls around the city. At around 2pm we went NCCC uyanguren to buy a few items then by 3pm we proceeded to crocodile park. Yeah! In a matter of just 2 days, I am back at crocodile park. This time to guide the visitors. It was good that we arrived early coz we had the chance to stroll around the park and look at the animals before the show started. We left crocodile park at past 6pm and proceeded to Banok's along Torres Street to have dinner. Well unfortunately we had a bad experience. Our tinola and chopseuy was not served on time that we decided to cancel the order. They served the rice, tuna belly, lechon manok and pork liempo ahead. Our softdrinks was in fact delayed that we had to call the waiters attention about it. We were already done eating dinner and still our order was not served. The result? Well we faced their manager and give them a short lecture on how to serve their customers properly. Of course they always had an excuse... "pasensya na po kulang po kami sa tao at madami po customers" to which I replied "excuse me.. when we came in I made a comment.. oi milagro konti lang ang tao.." Oh well... we can only hope they fix their really bad system of serving their customers, or else people will stop patronizing them.

Tomorrow is another holiday! Thank God! I really need to take a rest.. Well we could have visited more places but it seems our visitors could not bear taking long walks.. ehehehe SOOA? (sign of old age). Lolz!

A Choice Between Work and Family

I know you guys have been wondering why I have not been able to update my blog for quite a while now. I am really so busy attending to a lot of things that I do not have time to post any more. Well I have to admit the past month has really been so stressful. I needed to make a decision between my work and my family. Making the right decision can be tough and I know when I chose my family, I made the right decision.

My family has always been behind me and I believe that giving them my time is just but the right thing to do. I feel sad that it has to come to this point that I need to quit my job and go into another venture, but I am also positive that things will turn out right and I know I am making my family happy and proud.

I will be busier the next few days so that means still no new posts but I hope by August I would be able to update this blog more.

My Parents Wedding Anniversary - 39 years Together

June 22, 1969, the day my mother and father got married... she was 20 while he was already 33. Yes.. it's a big 13 years age gap, but my parents were able to prove that despite their age gap they can be good partners and good parents. My mother has been a full-pledged housewife ever since they got married and I am proud to tell the whole world that our parents raised us well. Blessed with 4 children(2 girls and 2 boys) who they were able to send to private schools, I would say life for us back then was not easy.

Having my father as the sole breadwinner and with 4 children going to school at an age gap of 1, 3, and 2 years apart, you can just imagine the trouble my mother would go through writing those probationary letters just to have the 4 of us be enrolled every time the school year starts and how many cash advancements my father would have to make from his office every time we would have our exams.

Now that we are all grown-ups and with my 2 siblings already married, I would say life is much better now. I have learned to value every little income I received because of how my parents have raised us. If it's something that is not really a necessity, we have to think a hundred times before deciding to purchase something.

The marriage of my parents is not what I would call a perfect marriage. They had their episodes of fights. I would remember some years back while we were still students when they would have misunderstandings, my mother would not sleep in their room. But that is a part of it all, two different individuals with two different minds and it would be impossible to avoid conflicts. Despite those petty quarrels, they never lost their respect for each other and that has kept them together.

Yesterday, during their 39th anniversary, I invited my mama and papa to go to SM with me coz I wanted to buy something for them. We went to SM with my sis and his husband and my nephew John. After that, my mama and papa had a dinner date.. while the rest of us headed home.

I am thankful to God for giving me such wonderful parents and wish that He continues to bless them with good health and more happy years together.
